Platinum Network Share Slow

The backups have completed and all services have returned to normal.

The central file server has undergone some recent file transfers and as a result backups are attempting to catch up with all the new data. The backup processes are working hard to ensure all new data is backed up and users may see some slowness while this process completes. Please be patient as reliable backups are key to disaster recovery. We estimate that this process should complete over the weekend and all services should return to normal working conditions by Monday. Thank you for your patience.

 This maintenance has been completed.

K-State Online will be unavailable on March 28th for approximately 10 minutes between 5:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. for planned maintenance.

K-State Email Maintenance

Planned maintenance for Zimbra email is scheduled for a period of 30 minutes sometime between 11 p.m Wednesday, March 27 and 1 a.m. Thursday, March 28.

K-State Online video streaming issues

ITS is continuing to monitor issues concerning video streaming. Suggestions for improving video viewing have been sent to students and faculty.

Platinum server maintenance

Maintenance on this system will begin at midnight Saturday, March 23rd and continue through midnight Sunday, March 24th. We are scheduling this for 24 hours, but will send an update if completed sooner. This maintenance outage will not have an impact on staff's ability to log into their computers but access to files on the W drive and Y drive will be disabled for the duration of the maintenance window.

Platinum File Share Offline

The Platinum file share is experiencing intermittent issues and may go into offline status throughout the day. We are doing all we can to ensure that the service remains online as long as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and will have this service stable soon.

Network Maintenance

The network maintenance is scheduled for  Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.  Service will be interrupted while the Salina switches are upgraded and routing for the Salina subnets are reconfigured.  We anticipate 2 short outages during the window.  Each outage should be under 5 minutes.
