Network Maintenance

Maintenance on the secondary power supplies has been completed.

Network maintenance is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday December 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  Maintenance will be performed on the secondary power supplies in Hale Library and the Power Plant core locations.  Power to the core routers will continue to be delivered via the primary power supply during the maintenance.

Email Hardware Upgrade

The email hardware upgrade has been completed successfully.

Merit, K-State's email service provider, will be updating hardware. This will begin on Wednesday, December 19, at 7:00pm and continue until the hardware upgrade is complete. K-Staters might experience slowness during the migration.

KEAS upgrade affecting many services

KEAS maintenance has been completed.

Many services that use the KEAS database will be unavailable during a scheduled database upgrade on Friday, December 21, from 8:00am to 1:00pm.

Services unavailable include:
- KEAS Support
- PDB Support Tools
- eProfile system
- eID registration, including when completing the undergraduate application for admission
- People Search

Please note that WID creation requests from HRIS and iSIS systems will be saved and processed after the upgrade. As a result, provisioning of email and other account access will also be delayed until the upgrade has completed.

Network Slowness

 The maintenance has been completed.

We are getting reports of network slowness from various locations across campus.  We have identified the problem and will be performing network maintenance starting at 5:15pm to resolve the issues.  It is likely that internet connections will drop for a short period of time (1 minute or less) during the maintenance, this includes Zimbra mail.  Internal network connections (i.e., such as to K-State Online) will not be affected.

Parking garage usage December 5

Skidata server maintenance has been completed.

The skidata server will be taken offline Wednesday from 3a.m.-4a.m. to complete maintenance.  During this time the gates in the parking garage will be operational. Please use the west gate and parking staff will be available in case there are any issues with entering or exiting the parking garage.
