eProfile issues

This issue has been resolved.

The IT Help Desk has received a number of calls about problems creating new eID's on the eprofile page. Information Technology Services (ITS) is working to resolve the issue and apologizes for the inconvenience.

Email access issues

Email issues have been resolved.

The IT Help Desk has received a number of calls about users receiving a 503 error when trying to access email.  Information Technology Services (ITS) is working to resolve the issue and apologizes for the inconvenience.

University Computer Lab maintenance

The  maintenance has been completed. 

History:

Monday, September 23rd, 2013 at 7:57p.m.  
The SQL service for the University Computer Labs will be restarted at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24. No outage is expected during this maintenance.

K-State Online access issues

This issue has been resolved.

Network Maintenance

The maintenance has been completed.

History:

Friday, September 20th, 2013 at 3:20 p.m.
The Network group will be performing maintenance on the connectivity between the Data Center and the core routers, to increase bandwidth.  The maintenance will be Saturday, September 21st, from 6 - 7 a.m.  The user could experience brief outages in connectivity to Data Center services, such as K-State Online, ISIS, HR, and the Financial System.  Connectivity to resources outside the Data Center and to the Internet will not be affected by this maintenance.

Pharos maintenance Sunday

The maintenance is complete.

Maintenance - Hale Infocommons

 The maintenance has been completed.

History:

Tuesday 9/17/13 at 8:36 a.m. 
The servers for the University Computer Labs and Hale Library Infocommons will be rebooted on Wednesday September 18. No outage is expected though computers in use may appear to freeze up for a few seconds while they connect to a different server.

Email slowness issues

The issue has been resolved.

History:

9/12/13
K-State email is being delayed for up to two hours due to an unusually heavy load on the spam detectors.  No email will be lost and this issue will likely clear up over night as the load decreases. ITS apologize for the inconvenience.

Network maintenance - Hale Library

This maintenance has been completed.

History:
Friday, September 6th 2:27 p.m.

The Network group will be performing network maintenance on Saturday, September 7th, from 8-8:30 a.m.  We will be increasing the link capacity between the Library building aggregation and the core.  The outage will affect connectivity on the 1st through 5th floors.  Basement connections and the data center will not be affected by this outage.

Network maintenance-Dickens Hall

This maintenance has been completed. 

History:

The Network group will be performing maintenance on the building entry point and closet uplinks at Dickens Hall. We will be moving the entry point connection from 100FX to 1Gb, and upgrading closet uplinks to 1Gb.  The maintenance will be tonight (9/5) from 8:30 to 9:30pm. Network connectivity will be unavailable during this time.

Dickens Room 001 University Computing Lab

The Dickens 001 University Computing Lab has been reopened. The login issues appear to be resolved.

The Dickens Hall, Room 001 University Computing Lab has been temporarily closed due to login issues. The lab will be reopened as soon as the issues have been resolved. Information Technology Services (ITS) is working to resolve the issue and apologizes for the inconvenience.

Network Maintenance - Kedzie Hall

This maintenance has been completed. 

History:
The Network group will be performing maintenance on the building entry point connection to Kedzie Hall, moving the connection from 100FX to 1Gb.  The maintenance will be tonight (9/5) from 8:00 to 8:30pm.
