Network Maintenance

Maintenance has been completed.

History:
Thursday, September 25, 2014, 9:11 a.m. This evening, from 8:00 PM until roughly 8:10 PM, NTS and Security will be moving the West Hall 6509 uplinks to peer directly with the Core 6509 rather than with the core firewall. As this maintenance is occurring, there will be a disruption of network connectivity to/from the Residence Halls and Jardine. The ResNet HelpDesk has been contacted and is aware of the maintenance and has communicated with residents.

The KSU Home page issue has been resolved.

iOS8 Update Causing Network Performance Issues

No iOS 8 issues were reported.

Due to the release of the iOS 8 update today expect to see localized network performance issues especially on wirelessaccess points as iOS devices update. iSIS Maintenance

This maintenance is complete.

9/23/14 at 9:44a.m.
iSIS will be unavailable for scheduled maintenance from 6 a.m. Saturday Sept. 27 through 5 p.m. Sunday Sept. 28.  The system will be brought up as soon as maintenance has been completed.

Emergency Network Maintenance

The maintenance has been completed.

KanRen will be performing emergency maintenance starting at midnight - a rolling reboot of routers across their network backbone.  This will affect Internet access to all three campuses.  They expect to complete maintenance by 2:00am.

Outlook Web App Link issues

The issues have been resolved.

Microsoft is currently working on a fix for users experiencing issues with clicking links in the Office Web App. When the link is clicked nothing happens. As a workaround, affected users can right-click the URL and open it in a new tab or window. Additionally, if the message is opened into a separate window, clicking on the URL will work as expected.

Users are experiencing issues with clicking links in the Office Web App. When the link is clicked nothing happens. ITS is aware of issues clicking on links in the Office Web App and is currently working with Microsoft to resolve the issue.

Pulse is currently unavailable, which includes the university calendar (k-state.edu/calendar) and many college and department calendars

K-State Connect Page Down

This issue has been resolved.

History:

9/15/14 at 8:00am. 
The K-State Connect page is giving users a 503 error (internal server error) or shows users a white page. ITS staff are working to resolve the issue. Users can still access other K-State web sources by going to the source page directly.

Network Maintenance 09/11/14

Maintenance was completed successfully. 

History:
Thursday, September 11, 2014 10:00 P.M. - 10:30 P.M. We will be applying a signature patch on the Procera PacketLogic device tonight in order to address a traffic misclassification issue.  There is no anticipated interruption to Internet traffic, but new signatures brings the possibility of new misclassifications.
