KSIS Issue

Service has been restored and KSIS is available.

Network Maintenance - Ackert/Chalmers complex -10/29/15

This maintenance has been completed.

History:
NTS will be performing network maintenance in the Ackert/Chalmers complex on Thursday, Oct. 29th, from 10:00pm to 11:00pm.  The purpose of the maintenance is to upgrade the connectivity from the building to the core, and to several research labs.  A short building-wide outage will occur during this window, affecting all wired and wireless connectivity to the building.

Wireless authentication certificate

iOS devices are requiring the user to explicitly select KSU Wireless or KSU Housing before launching into the connection process. The user will be notified that the certificate is not trusted. In order to continue the process, the user must select the Trust button.

It is not best practice to accept what appears to be an untrusted certificate. However, that is the only workaround at this time. This is a known issue with iOS.

Trend Micro Updates

The upgrade has been completed.

History:
The Trend Micro OfficeScan client servers will be upgrade starting Thursday Oct. 15th - Saturday Oct. 17th. End users should not see an impact, but you may see your OfficeScan client update.

Canvas Error

This issue has been resolved.

IT Help Desk has received multiple calls about Canvas, which is giving users error 500. ITS Staff are working to resolve the issue.

Paper Cut Access

The issue has been resolved and printing is back to normal.

Mediasite in K-State Online Issues

This issue has been resolved.

Our video content provider, Mediasite, is experiencing an issue that is causing the K-State Online Canvas to Mediasite integration to produce “500 - Internal server error” messages. Mediasite is aware of this issue and is working to resolve it.

Instead, access Mediasite via https://kansasstate.mediasite.com/mediasite/mymediasite. This avoids the current issue. Instructors can upload and manage video content via this URL. Student playback of embedded videos in K-State Online is not effected by this issue.

K-State ITS personnel are working with Mediasite to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Mediasite Maintenance - Saturday 10/3

The maintenance has been completed.

History:
Planned hardware maintenance is scheduled for Mediasite from 12:01 a.m. to 4 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3. Access to Mediasite will be unavailable during the maintenance window.
