LDAP Server Issues

This issue has been resolved. History: ITS is aware of a high load on our LDAP servers. This is impacting password changes and logging in. It is being worked on and updates will be posted as we know more.

Kedzie, Thompson and All Faiths Chapel without power

Power has been restored to all areas of the Manhattan campus, including Kedzie Hall. All classes will return to normal schedules and locations effective Thursday, September 29.

History:

The Kedzie Hall power outage continues through today, Wednesday, Sept. 28.  Classes have been rescheduled to other buildings and students should check with professors for details. Updates will be provided as available.

History:

The power outage continues for Kedzie Hall because of an underground line break. The outage is expected to continue through Tuesday, Sept. 27.  Power has been restored to Thompson Hall and All Faiths Chapel.

Power is on in Thompson Hall and All Faiths Chapel. Kedzie Hall is still without power. Updates will be provided as available.

Electricity is out for Kedzie Hall, Thompson Hall and All Faiths Chapel because of an underground line break. Those buildings will likely be without power throughout Monday, Sept. 26. Updates will be provided as available.

Student Union 2nd Floor Network Outage

This issue has been resolved.

History:

The network on the second floor of the Student Union is currently down. This outage affects wired and wireless services. ITS staff are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it.

Emergency Datacenter Maintenance

This has been completed.

History:

At 11:20 AM, ITS will be performing emergency maintenance in the Data Center to correct a problem with infrastructure. This maintenance is not expected to cause a service disruption. This maintenance window will be for one hour or less.

Planned Maintenance: Old LDAP Infrastruxure Decommissioning - Wednesday 9/21

This maintenance has been completed.

History:

The Office of Mediated Education (OME)has worked the last several months to fully migrate to the new LDAP infrastructure. On 9/21/2016 11am CST the old LDAP infrastructure will be de-commissioned. If there are issues this action is easily reversed to restore service. That being said, OME does not anticipate issues because the access logs have been monitored for the last month and has migrated the systems that were still hitting the old LDAP to the new infrastructure.

Procera License Update - Mon. 9/19 (10pm-11pm)

This maintenance has been completed.

History:
On Monday, September 19, between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., security will be performing a license update on the Procera appliance. This maintenance may result in a brief disruption of internet traffic as services are restarted to apply the new license.

Mediasite Issues

The Mediasite issues have been resolved.
 
History:
Mediasite is currently experiencing both playback and upload issues. ITS staff are working with the vendor to resolve the issues. 

Webmail Login Issue

This issue has been resolved.

History:

When signing into Webmail some users are getting the error message "We can't get that information right now. Try again later."  If you receive this message, please clear the cache and try again. ITS staff are aware of the matter and are working on a resolution. 

Webmail Sign-In Error on Chrome

K-State webmail is currently encountering sign-in errors due to updates to sign-in systems.  This problem occurs primarily on Google Chrome and affects all operating systems.  ITS staff are aware of the issue and are applying changes as necessary to resolve the problem.

Users who encounter sign-in errors will continue to experience issues until they clear their cache and attempt to sign in again.  Instructions on how to do so can be found here: https://kstate.service-now.com/kb_view.do?sysparm_article=KB12251.

Employee Self Service/HRIS Maint Sept 16-19

The Division of Human Capital Services and the Office of Information Systems are pleased to announce that the HRIS conversion/upgrade is complete.

• Web pages that display the HRIS URL or have a link to HRIS.

Phone Outage

Phone services have been restored.

History:
Currently there is limited phone service in the buildings that were affected by the water that damaged some of the infrastructure in the Vet Med phone switch room. Technicians are continuing to work on the problem and services will be restored as soon as possible.

Network Maintenance - Guest wireless in Olathe and KDA - 9/1

This maintenance has been completed.

History:
NTS will be performing maintenance 9/1/16 from 10pm to midnight. We will be making a change to the guest wireless network routing at the Olathe campus and the KDA building. This maintenance will not affect authenticated wireless in either location.

Trend Micro Update - Week of Sept. 6th

This Maintenance has been completed.
History:
ITS is updating the Trend Micro servers on Tuesday, Sept 6th after business hours. Throughout the week updates will be rolled out to users who have Trend Micro installed on their computers. Once the updates are completed a restart of the computer will be required for the updates to go through. These updates are to support Windows 10 Anniversary edition.
