Dickens and 3rd Floor Hale Computer Labs Closed

Catfiles/NFS Performance Issues
This issue has been resolved.
History:
11/15/16
Users are reporting slowness when using Catfiles/NFS. Additional storage has been added to Catfiles/NFS. While data is being distributed across this new node users may notice a little slowness in Catfiles/NFS response. Hopefully this will only be for a short duration. Once the new node has been populated we should notice an increase in response of Catfiles/NFS.

Network Maintenance - Hale Library wireless 11/09 to 11/10
This maintenance has been completed.

NTS will be performing maintenance on the wireless service in Hale Library beginning Wednesday (11/9) at midnight through Thursday (11/10) 1:00am. Once the maintenance has been completed, we will be starting a pilot program for a new wireless authentication service. This will affect connectivity to KSU Wireless and KSU Housing, in the Library. User experiences can vary depending on individual device configurations. For most users, the first time they try to connect to KSU Wireless and KSU Housing , they will be prompted to accept a new SSL certificate. This acceptance is required before the user's credentials can be passed to the new server for authentication. If you have concerns or questions regarding this new procedure, or have difficulties connecting to KSU Wireless and KSU Housing while visiting Hale Library, please see an IT Help Desk consultant in Room 214.

Canvas Document Previewing Error
This error has been remedied and should no longer be occurring.

Canvas is generating errors for some instructors when they attempt to preview documents using Speedgrader. Instructure support has identified an issue between Canvas and Crocodoc, causing these errors to be generated. More information can be found at http://status.instructure.com/.

Tomorrow night beginning at 7pm we will be performing maintenance on the primary PaperCut server and the WebPrint VMs in order to install Windows updates. While the primary server is offline there will be a temporary outage of PaperCut of approximately 5-10 minutes.
