Employee Self Service/HRIS Upgrade Complete 10/28/17

Human Capital Services (HCS) and the Office of Information Systems are pleased to announce that the HRIS upgrade is complete. 

With this upgrade, the basic functionality remains the same; some search pages now feature a list of possible search selections when using Department, Employee ID, Name, etc. as search criteria.  See example below:

eID authentication outage - 10/25

The authentication system has returned to normal function.  

History:
We are currently experiencing an eID authentication outage that impacts the ability to log into services using the K-State eID.  We are diligently working towards resolving the issue.

K-State Web pages maintenance - 10/26/17

Maintenance has been completed.
History:
K-State Web pages will be undergoing a change on 10/26/2017 10:00 AM  -  11:00 AM CDT to issue SSL (Secure Socket Layer) certificates for all centrally hosted sites. This will be a non-disruptive change.

K-State Today Access Issues 10/26/17

Issue has been resolved.

Histroy:
Users report current access issues with K-State Today.  ITS is aware of the issue and are working on it.

Anderson Hall Network Maintenance - 10/25/17

The maintenance is completed.

History:

NTS will be performing maintenance on the network infrastructure in Anderson Hall on Thursday (10/25/17) from 8:30pm to midnight.  This maintenance will impact both wired and wireless connectivity.  Users will experience periodic service disruptions during the maintenance period.

Network Maintenance 10/24/17

Maintenance has been completed.

History:
Today from 12:00PM-1:00PM there will be network maintenance being performed.  This should not cause any down time.

Image Now server updates - 10/20/17

The updates have been completed. 

History:
Image now production server image.ksu.edu is scheduled for update tonight beginning at 6 pm.

Housing Wireless Network Maintenance - 10/22/17

This maintenance has been completed.

History:
NTS will be performing wireless maintenance Sunday (10/22/2017) from 6:00 am - 7:00 am.  This maintenance 1will affect Housing Wireless only.  Users will experience brief outages during this time.

Wireless Network Maintenance - 10/19

Maintenance has been completed.

History:
NTS will be performing wireless maintenance tonight (10/19/2017) at Midnight till 1:00 am.  This maintenance will affect most of campus wireless.  This maintenance will not affect wireless in Housing or Athletics.  Users will experience brief outages during this time.

Qualtric's Issue

It appears the Qualtrics issues have been resolved. If you have any problems please contact the IT Help Desk at 532-7722.

History:
Qualtrics has informed K-State that they are experiencing log in issues. Engineers are working to resolve the issue. ITS apologizes for the inconvenience.

NTS Maintenance - 10/18

This maintenance has been completed.

History:
NTS will be performing maintenance on the Olathe campus wireless tonight (10/18) from 10:00-11:00 p.m. All wireless connectivity will be affected during this time.

Polytechnic Campus Network Maintenance

This maintenance has been completed.

History:
NTS will be performing network maintenance from 5pm to 6pm on the K-State Polytechnic Campus in Salina. The maintenance will affect connectivity from the Salina campus to the internet, to Manhattan campus resources, and access to some local resources on the Salina campus.

K-State Web pages maintenance - 10/10/17

The maintenance has been completed.

History:
K-State Web pages will be undergoing a change on 10/10/2017 12:01 AM CDT - 10/10/2017 6:00 AM CDT.  Editing and publishing content through the CMS will be unavailable during the maintenance window.

Connect widgets not displaying - 10/10/17

This is now resolved.

History:
The only widget displaying on the Connect is the eProfile widget.  We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible.

We experienced a temporary eID authentication outage.  Services requiring eID login should be returning to normal.  If you are experiencing any issues please contact the IT helpdesk.

Grouper Upgrade - 10/09

This maintenance has been completed.

History:
Grouper will be undergoing an upgrade on 10/9/2017 between 7:00 AM CDT and 8:00 AM CDT. Updating memberships on groups managed by grouper will unavailable during the maintenance window.

Content Management System Issues - 10/02/17

The issue has been resolved.

History:
The Content Management System is giving intermittent errors.  Users should avoid the usual direct edit link at the bottom of the web page.  As a work around, please use webcms.k-state.edu, select your website, and navigate to the page you want to edit.  We are working with the vendor on the issue.

Digital signs down temporarily - 10/02/17

Rebooting the signs has resolved the issue.

History:
Digital signs are down across campus, we have an open ticket with vendors and we are currently working to resolve the issue.
