Global Campus Network Maintenace - 11/26/2019

Wireless Maintenace on Campus, Housing and Dining, Olathe, Athletics complex - 11/26/19

History: 
NTS will be performing network maintenance to the authentication piece  for the wireless infrastructure on Campus, Housing and Dining, Olathe, and the Athletics complex.  Maintenance will be on 11/26/19 and run from 6 PM – 10 PM.  We do not anticipate loss of wireless service during this maintenance period.

Cat Cash Web Deposit Portal Maintenance - 10/24

Hiostory:
The Cat Cash Web Deposit Portal will be down for maintenance on October 24, 2019, from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.  During this time, no deposits can be made using the normal web portal found at https://catcash.union.ksu.edu/login . Deposits can still be accepted in the K-State ID Center and Wabash Cannon Bowl, both of which are located in the K-State Student Union.  This maintenance will not affect any of the other functions of the Cat Cash system.  Sales and services should operate as normal.

Campus DHCP maintenance - 11/25

Mediasite Maintenance - 11/25/2019

The maintenance has been completed.

History:
Mediasite will undergo an update on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 5 a.m. until approximately 9 a.m. Users may experience intermittent interruptions of various Mediasite functions (playback, upload, editing, etc.) during the maintenance window.

HRIS, KSIS, DARS uAchieve maintenance - Nov 21 to 24

The HRIS migration to the cloud is complete

The KSIS and uAchieve migrations to the cloud are also complete.

History:

K-State Student Information System (KSIS) and DARS uAchieve system will be unavailable during scheduled maintenance from approximately 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21 through Sunday, November 24. The systems will be brought up as soon as maintenance has been completed.


The Human Resources Information System (HRIS) maintenance has been completed and is now online.

Single Sign On Issues - 11/20/2019

There is currently an issue with single sign on. ITS is aware of the issues and is working on a resolution.  We will provide an update as soon as we know more.

FIS Maintenance

 Maintenance has been completed.

History:
The Financial Information System (FIS) and eForms will be unavailable during scheduled maintenance from approximately 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15 through Sunday, November 17. The system will be brought up as soon as maintenance has been completed. Once online, the production URL will be different; however, the old URL will redirect to the new one. Additional information for FIS and eForms users.

Canvas Outage - 11/6/2019

Canvas has resumed normal operations. Canvas will continue to monitor for further problems.

We are currently experiencing intermittent network slowness which may cause timeouts, bad gateway errors, and slow application load times.  We are working to resolve this issue.

Network Maintenace - Kramer Hall 10/24/2019

Maintenance has been completed. 

NTS will be performing network maintenance in Kramer on Thursday 10/24 from 10 pm to 11pm.  This maintenance will affect both wired and wireless connectivity throughout the building during this time.

Canvas LTI Tools Issue 10/23/2019

The issue has been resolved.

History:
Currently Canvas LTI tools (SCantron, Attendance, Photo Roster, and Copy Grades to KSIS) is down.  ITS is working on resolving the issue.

Network Maintenance Weber Hall - 10/23

The maintenance has been completed.

History:
NTS will be performing network maintenance in Weber Hall on 10/23/19 from 6am to 7am.  The maintenance will affect both wired and wireless connectivity in the building during this time.

ksu.edu network services temporarily down - 10/22/2019

The issue has been resolved.
 
History:
ITS is currently working on network storage issues impacting access to resources that contain ksu.edu or k-state.edu in its website name.  This means the following resources may be temporarily unavailable:

• Webmail (webmail.ksu.edu)
• K-State home page (www.ksu.edu)
• Canvas (online.ksu.edu)
• HR (www.ksu.edu/hr)
• KSIS (ksis.ksu.edu)

We are working to resolve this issue.

ServiceNow upgrade 10/17

The upgrade has been completed.

History:
ServiceNow will be upgraded to the Madrid release tomorrow Thursday, October 17th in the morning. It should be finished before 5AM. As with all ServiceNow upgrades, this is an automated process and no downtime is anticipated. FIS initial logon page temporarily slow - 10/16/2018

The response time has been repaired.

History:
FIS is currently experiencing an issue getting to the initial logon page. It is extremely slow, sometimes taking 5-10 minutes to render. Then after putting in username and password, it takes several minutes again. Once you get signed in, FIS behaves normally. ITS Staff are working on a resolution.

Canvas Maintenance - 10/16

The Canvas maintenance has been completed.

History:
Canvas maintenance is scheduled on Wednesday, October 16, at 2:15 a.m. and lasting until 4:15 a.m. Canvas users will not be able to access Google Apps for about 10 minutes of time during the maintenance period.

Network Maintenance - 10/10/2019

History:

NTS will be performing network maintenance to the wireless infrastructure on the Manhattan main campus, Olathe, and in the athletics complex.  Maintenance will begin 10/10/19 at 6pm and continue through 6am on 10/11/19.  We do not anticipate the loss of wireless service during this maintenance period.  This maintenance will not impact wireless services in the Residence Halls and Jardine Apartments, and the Polytechnic campus.

Network Maintenance in Hale Library 10/16/2019

NTS will be performing network maintenance in Hale Library on October 16th from 6am-7am.  The maintenance will create a loss of service for both wired and wireless connectivity on the first floor.  Data Center connectivity will not be impacted.

ImageNow Issue

ImageNow issue has been resolved.

History:
ImageNow is experiencing issues. ITS is working to resolve the issue and apologizes for the inconvenience.

Web publishing change for non-CMS sites on K-State central web server

EST is preparing to move the servers hosting the K-State Website into the cloud. As part of this migration, we will have to change the way content is uploaded/published to the web servers.

This does NOT pertain to the www-personal.k-state.edu servers or sites already maintained through the CMS.

After Friday, September 27, 2019 at 5pm users will no longer be able to upload content to the K-State web servers via Samba or unix.ksu.edu (www-personal is NOT affected by this). Publishing will be officially supported through the CMS. Instructions for this can be found here: https://www.k-state.edu/webservices/cms/

Wireless Network Issues

ITS is currently experiencing issues with wireless service at the Manhattan campus.  Users may experience problems getting connected to both KSU Wireless and KSU Guest.  We are working with the vendor to identify and resolve these issues.

PaperCut upgrade - 08/13

On 8/13 starting around 7a.m. PaperCut services will be down for approximately 1-2 hours for a version upgrade. This will affect printing in all university computing labs and classrooms that use PaperCut.

History:
Thursday, August 8^th, between 5 PM and 6 PM, the Palo Alto firewalls at the perimeter will undergo a software upgrade.  No service disruption is anticipated as a result of this maintenance.

Canvas Maintenance - 07/26

The maintenance is complete.

History:
A Canvas maintenance event is scheduled for Friday, July 26. The maintenance will begin at 11 p.m. and will last up to 6 hours. This maintenance event will affect the ability to upload new media and subtitles to our media servers. During this time, users will continue to be able to access previously uploaded videos and captions.

Network Maintenance West Hall - 7/24

NTS will be performing networking maintenance in the West Hall on Wednesday (7/24) from 7pm to Thursday (7/25) at 12am.    This will cause an outage for all Wired and Wireless connectivity to Housing and Dining Buildings as well as the Center for Child Development as maintenance tasks are being performed during this window.   This will not affect main campus connectivity.

Office365 Mail Service Issues 7/19/2019

As of 1 p.m. Microsoft resolved the Office365 mail issue.

History:
Microsoft has reported issues with Office365 mail services. Users may experience problems with their email until the issues are resolved on their end.

Microsoft's next update on the Office365 mail service issues will be at 12:30 P.M.

Password Reset delay - 07/16

The issue has been resolved.

History:
We are currently experiencing long delays in the password reset process.  ITS is currently working towards resolving this issue as soon as possible.  We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.

Lansweeper scan Wednesday(7/10)- Thursday (7/11)

iTAC Client Services will be performing a Lansweeper scan of the PSK network from Wednesday(7/10) 8:00 AM to Thursday (7/11) 6:00 AM.

Hale Library Power Outage July 13 2019

The maintenance was completed.

History:
Power will be shut down to Hale Library for panel work on July 13 at approximately 7 a.m. to provide safe access to the high voltage distribution panels throughout the facility. The contractor will be adding panel grounds and removing the temporary leads that were installed to connect the facility to the generators.  The outage is expected to last about 3-4 hours. Generator power will be available beginning at 6:30 am.

Seaton Hall Wireless Maintenance - 6/25

The maintenance has been completed.

History:
NTS will be performing wireless maintenance in Seaton Hall on Tuesday (6/25) from 9:00 pm – 11:00 pm. This maintenance will affect wireless connectivity intermittently throughout the building during this time.

DUO Interuptions 6/28/2019

Issue has been resolved

Due to Verizon outages in the area those on Verizon services will not be able to get the push notifications to log into there accounts.  Current ways to bypass this issue will be to turn off your cellular data and use a WIFI network or call into the help desk for a bypass code.
