NTS will be performing network maintenance in the International Student Center on Tuesday (11/26) from noon - to 1:00pm.  This maintenance will affect both wired and wireless connectivity. 

Ackert Network Maintenace - 11/26/2019

The maintenance has been completed.

History:
NTS will be performing network maintenance in Ackert on second floor on Tuesday (11/26) from 6pm to 8pm.  This maintenance will affect both wired and wireless connectivity on second floor for a brief period of time while the switches reboot.

Global Campus Network Maintenace - 11/26/2019

This maintenance has been postponed and will be rescheduled for another date.

Wireless Maintenace on Campus, Housing and Dining, Olathe, Athletics complex - 11/26/19

The maintenance has been completed.

History: 
NTS will be performing network maintenance to the authentication piece  for the wireless infrastructure on Campus, Housing and Dining, Olathe, and the Athletics complex.  Maintenance will be on 11/26/19 and run from 6 PM – 10 PM.  We do not anticipate loss of wireless service during this maintenance period.

Cat Cash Web Deposit Portal Maintenance - 10/24

 Completed

Hiostory:
The Cat Cash Web Deposit Portal will be down for maintenance on October 24, 2019, from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.  During this time, no deposits can be made using the normal web portal found at https://catcash.union.ksu.edu/login . Deposits can still be accepted in the K-State ID Center and Wabash Cannon Bowl, both of which are located in the K-State Student Union.  This maintenance will not affect any of the other functions of the Cat Cash system.  Sales and services should operate as normal.

Mediasite Maintenance - 11/25/2019

The maintenance has been completed.

History:
Mediasite will undergo an update on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 5 a.m. until approximately 9 a.m. Users may experience intermittent interruptions of various Mediasite functions (playback, upload, editing, etc.) during the maintenance window.

HRIS, KSIS, DARS uAchieve maintenance - Nov 21 to 24

The HRIS migration to the cloud is complete

The KSIS and uAchieve migrations to the cloud are also complete.

History:

K-State Student Information System (KSIS) and DARS uAchieve system will be unavailable during scheduled maintenance from approximately 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21 through Sunday, November 24. The systems will be brought up as soon as maintenance has been completed.


The Human Resources Information System (HRIS) maintenance has been completed and is now online.

History:
The Financial Information System (FIS) and eForms will be unavailable during scheduled maintenance from approximately 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15 through Sunday, November 17. The system will be brought up as soon as maintenance has been completed. Once online, the production URL will be different; however, the old URL will redirect to the new one. Additional information for FIS and eForms users.

The issue has been resolved.
 
History:
ITS is currently working on network storage issues impacting access to resources that contain ksu.edu or k-state.edu in its website name.  This means the following resources may be temporarily unavailable:
  • Webmail (webmail.ksu.edu)
  • K-State home page (www.ksu.edu)
  • Canvas (online.ksu.edu)
  • HR (www.ksu.edu/hr)
  • KSIS (ksis.ksu.edu)
We are working to resolve this issue.

ServiceNow upgrade 10/17

The upgrade has been completed.

History:
ServiceNow will be upgraded to the Madrid release tomorrow Thursday, October 17th in the morning. It should be finished before 5AM. As with all ServiceNow upgrades, this is an automated process and no downtime is anticipated. FIS initial logon page temporarily slow - 10/16/2018

The response time has been repaired.

History:
FIS is currently experiencing an issue getting to the initial logon page. It is extremely slow, sometimes taking 5-10 minutes to render. Then after putting in username and password, it takes several minutes again. Once you get signed in, FIS behaves normally. ITS Staff are working on a resolution.

Canvas Maintenance - 10/16

The Canvas maintenance has been completed.

History:
Canvas maintenance is scheduled on Wednesday, October 16, at 2:15 a.m. and lasting until 4:15 a.m. Canvas users will not be able to access Google Apps for about 10 minutes of time during the maintenance period.

Web publishing change for non-CMS sites on K-State central web server

EST is preparing to move the servers hosting the K-State Website into the cloud. As part of this migration, we will have to change the way content is uploaded/published to the web servers.

This does NOT pertain to the www-personal.k-state.edu servers or sites already maintained through the CMS.

After Friday, September 27, 2019 at 5pm users will no longer be able to upload content to the K-State web servers via Samba or unix.ksu.edu (www-personal is NOT affected by this). Publishing will be officially supported through the CMS. Instructions for this can be found here: https://www.k-state.edu/webservices/cms/

ITS is currently experiencing issues with wireless service at the Manhattan campus.  Users may experience problems getting connected to both KSU Wireless and KSU Guest.  We are working with the vendor to identify and resolve these issues.

A Canvas maintenance event is scheduled for Friday, July 26. The maintenance will begin at 11 p.m. and will last up to 6 hours. This maintenance event will affect the ability to upload new media and subtitles to our media servers. During this time, users will continue to be able to access previously uploaded videos and captions.

Office365 Mail Service Issues 7/19/2019

As of 1 p.m. Microsoft resolved the Office365 mail issue.

History:
Microsoft has reported issues with Office365 mail services. Users may experience problems with their email until the issues are resolved on their end.

Microsoft's next update on the Office365 mail service issues will be at 12:30 P.M.

Password Reset delay - 07/16

The issue has been resolved.

History:
We are currently experiencing long delays in the password reset process.  ITS is currently working towards resolving this issue as soon as possible.  We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.
