HRIS Maintenance - 8/31

The maintenance has been completed.

History:
HRIS will be down Saturday August 31st between 8am and noon for system maintenance.

Storm Power Outage

Power and nework connectivity has been restored.

History:
Due to the storm, Ackert Hall and Engineering Hall have intermittent power.  Facilities are currently working to resolve the issue.

Wireless Network Issues

Wireless service issues were stabilized just before noon today (8/27/19). ITS will continue to monitor the network very closely. If you are still experiencing problems connecting or staying connected to the wireless network, please contact the IT Help Desk for assistance.
History:
ITS is currently experiencing issues with wireless service at the Manhattan campus.  Users may experience problems getting connected to both KSU Wireless and KSU Guest.  We are working with the vendor to identify and resolve these issues. 

Nichols, Fairchild, McCain and Thompson Halls electric shut off Aug. 20

Interruption time and date: 5-7 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20

What does this affect: Affects anything that uses electricity — i.e., lights, computers, servers, air-conditioning, HVAC systems, pumps and more.

Reason for the interruption: Inspect cables and insert pull rope into existing spare raceway for future cable replacement to Nichols Hall.

Canvas Maintenance - 8/31

Canvas maintenance is scheduled on Saturday, August 31, at 11 p.m. and lasting until 3 a.m. the following morning. Canvas users may experience a short downtime during the maintenance period.

Network Maintenance - 8/21

The maintenance was completed.
 
History:
Wednesday, August 21, between 8 PM and 12 AM, firewall configuration will be performed to establish communications with our AWS environment.  This work will result in short service disruptions during the maintenance window.

Tuesday, August 20, between 9 PM and 11 PM, firewall configuration will be performed to establish communications with our AWS environment.  This work will result in short service disruptions during the maintenance window.

AnyConnect licenses update - 8/15

 The maintenance has been completed.

History:
Thursday, August 15^th, between 5:00 Pm and 5:30 PM, the AnyConnect licenses will be updated on the Manhattan and Olathe VPN firewalls.  No service disruption is expected as a result of this maintenance.

PaperCut upgrade - 08/13

The upgrade was completed.

History:
On 8/13 starting around 7a.m. PaperCut services will be down for approximately 1-2 hours for a version upgrade. This will affect printing in all university computing labs and classrooms that use PaperCut.

Palo Alto software upgrade - 08/08

The maintenance has been completed.

History:
Thursday, August 8^th, between 5 PM and 6 PM, the Palo Alto firewalls at the perimeter will undergo a software upgrade.  No service disruption is anticipated as a result of this maintenance.

Network Maintenance Edwards Hall - 8/10

The maintenance has been completed. 
 
History:
NTS will be performing network maintenance in Edwards Hall on Saturday 8/10, from 7am to 10am.  Both wired and wireless services will be affected during the maintenance window.

Wireless Network Maintenance Housing and Dining - 08/07

The maintenance was completed.

History:
NTS will be performing network maintenance on the Housing and Dining wireless network on Wednesday (8/7) from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM.  Intermittent wireless connectivity across the Housing and Dining complex is expected during this time.

Various systems unavailable

The system issue has been resolved.

History:
Several K-State systems are unavailable at this time. ITS staff are working to resolve the issues. Further updates to come.
