Content Management System (CMS) form issues 12/15/2020

CMS forms are operational, with the exception of the upload functionality.

 

 

The form feature in the CMS is currently down. The issue is affecting editing and publishing in the system as well as submitting forms on webpages. IT is aware of the issue and currently working to resolve it. Thank you for your patience.

History:

The Financial Information System (FIS) will be unavailable from 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, through 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20. Once the monthly maintenance is complete, FIS will available for your use.

Housing and Dining Wireless Network Maintenance - 12/12

The maintenance has been completed.

History:

 NTS will be performing wireless network maintenance in the Manhattan campus Housing and Dining complex on Dec 12 from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.  Outages are expected during this window.

Mediasite Maintenance 12/17/2020

 Mediasite will undergo an update on Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 5 a.m. until approximately 9 a.m. Users may experience intermittent interruptions of various Mediasite functions (playback, upload, editing, etc.) during the maintenance window.

Email Issues 12/4/2020

Issue has been resolved.

History:

Users are currently receiving and undeliverables message when sending out emails.  These emails are saying Remote Server returned '550 5.7.520 Access denied, Your organization does not allow external forwarding. Please contact your administrator for further assistance.

Emergency Fiber Maintenance - 12/01/2020

The maintenance has been completed. 

 History:

Emergency fiber maintenance will be performed on December 1, 2020 from 12:01am to 5:00am.  This maintenance will create brief periods of service disruption to the connection between the Polytechnic and Manhattan campuses.

ImageNow Maintenance (12/04 - 12/07/2020)

 The upgrade has been completed.

ImageNow will be unavailable from 4 p.m. Friday, December 4 through 8 a.m. Monday, December 7. The downtime will be used to upgrade ImageNow to Perceptive Content Foundation version EP2.

Wireless Authentication Maintenance (11/19/2020)

The maintenance has been completed.

History:

NTS will be performing maintenance on wireless authentication services tonight (11/19/2020) from 10:00 pm to 11:59 pm. No service disruption is anticipated during the maintenance window.

Network Maintenance in Chem (11/20/2020)

The maintenance has been completed.

History:

NTS will be performing network maintenance on (11/20/2020) from 6:30am to 8:00am in Chem BioChem. This maintenance will affect a limited number of wired connections while we replace 2 switches. The affected users should only experience a short period of network disruption during the maintenance window.

Cybersecurity Awareness Training 11/5/2020

  Additional licenses have been purchased and employees can now continue to complete the training.  If you should run into further issues please contact the IT Help Desk.

The error that you are seeing with the Cybersecurity Awareness Training is due to licensing. We are working with the vendor to resolve ASAP and hope to have a resolution by the morning of Nov 6 if not before. IT apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks you for your patience. 

M365 Issue 11/5/2020

History:

Microsoft is currently investigating online services issues with send/receiving emails or accessing the Exchange admin center.  This issue may also be affecting teams.

CMS Maintenance - 11/09/2020

 The maintenance has been completed.

History:
ITS will be performing maintenance on the CMS form submission server. During the maintenance window, 6 - 9 p.m. Monday November 9, the process that handles form submissions will be intermittently unavailable. Websites will be available during the window, but form submissions may fail.

Image Now Maintenance - Delayed

 The ImageNow upgrade scheduled for Friday, November 6 through Monday, November 9, has been delayed. The upgrade will be rescheduled for an upcoming weekend in November.

History

 ImageNow will be unavailable from noon Friday, November 6 through 8 a.m. Monday, November 9. The downtime will be used to upgrade ImageNow to Perceptive Content Foundation version EP2.

Firewall Maintenance - 11/2/2020

The maintenance has been completed.

History:

Monday, November 2^nd, between 8 PM and 10 PM, maintenance will be performed on the border firewalls.  This maintenance is not expected to result in any service disruption.

 Microsoft is currently experiencing issues. Users may see impact to Microsoft Teams, Outlook, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and http://Outlook.com.

Canvas Maintenance - 10/10/2020

 Maintenance has been Completed

Canvas will perform an engine upgrade to the Scorm LTI starting at 2:00 a.m., Saturday, October 10. The maintenance is expected to last 6 hours. The Scorm tool will be inaccessible during maintenance.

Office365 seems to be experiencing widespread issues.  Microsoft is investigating the issues and will provide more information as they work toward a resolution.

When inserting a Mediasite presentation into Canvas, you may receive an error saying, "Content retrieval failed." Throckmorton Electrical Maintenance - 09/19/2020

 Maintenance Completed

 History:

 Throckmorton performance maintenance on building transformer to occur on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020.  This maintenance will affect anything that uses electricity.  Maintenance appears to be occurring in "sections" of the building and each section may experience outages at certain times.  The schedule appears as follows:

• From 06 a.m. to 09 a.m. center section #1
• From 09 a.m. to 12 p.m. center section #2
• From 12 p.m. to 03 p.m. entire east section

Media Site Maintenance - 08/25/2020

Support Tool Maintenance 8/26/2020

Maintenance has been completed.

 

 eProfile and IDM Support tools will be unavailable between 5 AM and 6 AM on Wednesday, Aug. 26th for planned maintenance. Creation of eIDs and password changes will also be unavailable during this time period. 

Unger Network Maintenance 8/24/2020

This maintenance has been completed.

NTS will be performing network maintenance in Unger tonight  (8/24/20) from 6pm to 7pm.  This maintenance will affect connectivity to a small number of wired connections on the 1st floor.  Users can expect a 10 minute service disruption during this time.

Zoom Login Issues

Zoom has resolved the issue causing users to be unable to start and join Zoom Meetings and Webinars. Users are now also able to manage their service on the Zoom website. Zoom is currently monitoring to ensure that these services are operational

 

 

Zoom has received reports of users being unable to visit the Zoom website (zoom.us) and unable to start and join Zoom Meetings and Webinars using links.  This issues does not appear to be impacting any mobile or client logins.  Zoom is aware of the issue and working to resolve it.

Network Maintenance 8/4-8/5/2020

This maintenance has been completed.

History:

NTS will be performing network maintenance on Tuesday 8/4/2020 from 10pm until 2am and on Wednesday 8/5/2020.  Both wired and wireless services will be impacted in Ackert, Cellular Equipment Building, Facilities Grounds, Unger and Waters.  Wireless service will be affected in the President's Residence.  These service disruptions will take up to 10 minutes at each location.

Canvas Maintenance - 07/31/20

Canvas will perform maintenance on the Office 365 LTI at  12:30 a.m., Friday, July 31. The maintenance is expected to last for up to 30 minutes. During this time, you may be unable to access Office 365 in Canvas.

Nichols Hall Emergency Maintenance - 07/29/20

NTS is performing emergency maintenance in the Nichols Hall.  This maintenance will impact all network services in the building from 11:30am to noon.

Core Router reboot - 7/29/2020

 The emergency maintenance has been completed.

History:
NTS  will be performing an emergency reboot of the core router modules at 10PM to attempt to correct issues from last nights maintenance . Users may experience an outage during this time.

Office 365 Information Possibly Missing - 7/22/2020

 This issue has been resolved.
History:
Yesterday, IT was testing a script to remove spam emails from Office 365. The script had a variable that wasn't defined and the execution of the script could have potentially deleted data from Office 365. The data could be email, calendar entries or other types of files. IT is running a script to recover any potentially deleted data and will update this information once this is completed. 

Wireless Network Maintenance 7/23/2020

Main campus update is still progressing.


History:
NTS will be performing network maintenance to the wireless infrastructure on main campus, Olathe, and in the athletics complex.  Maintenance will begin 07/23/2020 from 6:00PM-10:00PM.  We do not anticipate loss of wireless service during this maintenance period.  This maintenance will NOT impact wireless services in the Residence Halls and Jardine Apartments, and the Polytechnic campus.
