Network Maintenance 8/4-8/5/2020

This maintenance has been completed.

History:

NTS will be performing network maintenance on Tuesday 8/4/2020 from 10pm until 2am and on Wednesday 8/5/2020.  Both wired and wireless services will be impacted in Ackert, Cellular Equipment Building, Facilities Grounds, Unger and Waters.  Wireless service will be affected in the President's Residence.  These service disruptions will take up to 10 minutes at each location.

Canvas Maintenance - 07/31/20

 Maintenance has been completed.

Canvas will perform maintenance on the Office 365 LTI at  12:30 a.m., Friday, July 31. The maintenance is expected to last for up to 30 minutes. During this time, you may be unable to access Office 365 in Canvas.

Some Canvas tools will be unavailable from 6-8 a.m., Friday, July 31. During the downtime, Information Technology Services will be upgrading the Oracle LTI from 11 to 19. K-State Attendance, Copy Grades to KSIS, and Teval will be unavailable during the upgrade.

Mediasite Maintenance - 07/30/20

Maintenance has been completed

Mediasite will undergo an update on Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 5 a.m. until approximately 7 a.m. Users may experience intermittent interruptions of various Mediasite functions (playback, upload, editing, etc.) during the maintenance window.

Nichols Hall Emergency Maintenance - 07/29/20

Completed

NTS is performing emergency maintenance in the Nichols Hall.  This maintenance will impact all network services in the building from 11:30am to noon.

Core Router reboot - 7/29/2020

 The emergency maintenance has been completed.

History:
NTS  will be performing an emergency reboot of the core router modules at 10PM to attempt to correct issues from last nights maintenance . Users may experience an outage during this time.

HRIS, KSIS, and DARS Maintenance - 08/09/20

The maintenance is complete.

History:

HRIS, KSIS, and DARS will be unavailable from midnight – 4 a.m., Sun., Aug. 9. Information Technology Services will be performing maintenance on the Oracle PeopleSoft systems, including operating system patching.

FIS Maintenance 7/25/2020

History:
The Financial Information System (FIS) will be unavailable from 6 p.m., Saturday, July 25, through 6 p.m., Sunday, July 26. Once the monthly maintenance is complete, FIS will be brought back up for your use

Core Infrastructure Maintenance - 7/28/20

The maintenance has been completed. 

History:
NTS will be performing maintenance on the core infrastructure starting at 10pm, 7/28/2020 through 6am, 7/29/2020.  Users may experience up to 30 minute disruptions in both wired and wireless network connectivity during the maintenance window.

Office 365 Information Possibly Missing - 7/22/2020

 This issue has been resolved.
History:
Yesterday, IT was testing a script to remove spam emails from Office 365. The script had a variable that wasn't defined and the execution of the script could have potentially deleted data from Office 365. The data could be email, calendar entries or other types of files. IT is running a script to recover any potentially deleted data and will update this information once this is completed. 

Wireless Network Maintenance 7/23/2020

Wireless maintenance has been completed for Athletics and Olathe.  

Main campus update is still progressing.


History:
NTS will be performing network maintenance to the wireless infrastructure on main campus, Olathe, and in the athletics complex.  Maintenance will begin 07/23/2020 from 6:00PM-10:00PM.  We do not anticipate loss of wireless service during this maintenance period.  This maintenance will NOT impact wireless services in the Residence Halls and Jardine Apartments, and the Polytechnic campus.

Mediasite is currently experiencing intermittent problems connecting to its storage. IT is working to resolve the issue and appreciates your patience.

EIS maintenance - 07/21/2020

Maintenance has been completed.

History:
EIS will be unavailable on Tuesday, July 21 from approximately 5am – 7am. EIS is the administrative course management system used by Global Campus and many others. It also is the course search tool accessible on Global Campus’s K-State Online website.

Teval maintenance - 07/16/2020

Maintenance has been completed. 
History:
Teval will be unavailable on Thursday, July 16 from 7:30am – 9:30am while it is migrated to the cloud.

History:
HRIS, KSIS, and DARS will be unavailable from midnight - 4 a.m., Sunday, July 12. Information Technology Services will be performing maintenance on the Oracle PeopleSoft systems.

History:
DARS will be undergoing an upgrade and unavailable from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, July 18. During the upgrade, KSIS will still be available for use.

The eID Password Reset will undergo maintenance from 3 - 7 p.m. on July 14. The reset via text messaging option will be unavailable during the maintenance.

Network Maintenance - 7/8/2020

History:
NTS will be performing network maintenance to the authentication piece for the wireless infrastructure on Campus, Housing and Dining, Olathe, and the Athletics complex.  Maintenance will be tonight 7/8/20 and run from 9 PM – 11 PM.  We do not anticipate this maintenance to be service affecting.
