HDS Wireless Services Maintenance (06/23/2022)

This maintenance has been completed.

History:

NTS will be performing network maintenance on the Housing and Dining wireless controllers June 23,2022 from 5:30am to 7:30am. This maintenance impacts the Residence Halls and the Jardine Complex.  All wireless services, including wired connections on in-room access points, will be unavailable during this time.

WiFi Maintenance (06/16/2022 - 06/17/2022)

This maintenance has been completed.

History:

NTS will be performing software upgrades on the main campus, Olathe, and Athletics wireless controllers. The maintenance window will be from 10pm Thursday 6/16/2022 through 1am Friday 6/17/2022. During this maintenance users will experience a loss of wireless connectivity on the Manhattan campus, Olathe campus, and the Athletics complex. Wireless services in the Residence Halls, Jardine complex, and Salina campus will not be effected by this maintenance.

ServiceNow Portal Unavailable (06/05/2022)

Transition to TeamDynamix has been completed (https://support.ksu.edu/).

History:

ServiceNow will be unavailable starting at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 5, as K-State transitions to TeamDynamix for our new IT ticketing system. On Monday, June 6, TeamDynamix and our new IT Website will be available. ServiceNow will be available in a limited capacity.

Mediasite Maintenance (06/07/2022)

This maintenance has been completed.

 

History:

Mediasite will undergo an update on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, from 5 a.m. until approximately 7 a.m. Users may experience intermittent interruptions of various Mediasite functions (playback, upload, editing, etc.) during the maintenance window.

NTS Network Maintenance (05/26/2022)

This maintenance has been completed.

Note:

Some users that were previously connected to these networks might be prompted to accept a new server certificate.  After the maintenance if users experience issues connecting to these networks forgetting the network and rebuilding the connection profile should fix the issue.

History:

On Thursday (5/26) from 10:00PM - 11:00PM NTS will be performing maintenance on the following wireless networks:

KSU Housing
eduroam


Once this maintenance has been completed users that were previously connected to these networks might be prompted to accept a new server certificate. After the maintenance if users experience issues connecting to these networks forgetting the network and rebuilding the connection profile should fix the issue.

Financial Information System (FIS) Maintenance (05/16/2022)

Network Issues

There have been reports of users having issues connecting to various services.  ITS is aware of the issues and is working to resolve the problems.  We thank you for your patience as we deal with these interruptions.

Reports of WiFi Outages

NTS has reported the issue as resolved. 

 

History:

 

NTS is investigating reports with campus wireless connectivity. The issues appear to be random in nature, and clients in the same vicinity may have different experiences. We have engaged Aruba Support, and will post when more information is available.

English & Counseling Services Network Maintenance (04/24/2022)

NTS will be performing maintenance on the network infrastructure in the English and Counseling Services building.  The maintenance will occur on Sunday (4/24/22) from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Both wired and wireless services will be impacted at various times during the maintenance window.

Qualtrics Service Outage (04/19/2022)

This issue has been resolved.

History:

 
We are currently experiencing issues with the qualtrics system. When users try to login to qualtrics a message stating "no healthy upstream" appears on the web browser. We are working to remediate this problem. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

NTS Maintenance (03/24/2022)

 The maintenance has been cancelled.

History:

NTS has been notified that additional fiber maintenance will be performed from midnight to 5:00am on Thursday, March 24th. The network connection between the Salina campus and the Manhattan campus will be interrupted during this window. The provider is taking steps to prevent additional outages (as experienced on 3/23) at the Manhattan internet border.

Qualtrics Email Distribution Service Down (Current)

Starting Feb. 25, Qualtrics’ email distribution service went down and is still unavailable.There is not an ETA for a resolution because they are awaiting on action from the third party blocklist causing the issue.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Voicemail Issues 3/1/2022

Users should now be able to get their voicemail, but message notifications are intermittent.  Thank you for your patience as we continue to work on this issue.

Currently the voicemail system is down.  ITS is aware of the issue and is working to resolve the problem.  We thank you for your patience.

Microsoft Offcie Service Outages(02/28/2022)

Microsoft Office services have been reported as working again.

History:

There have been various reports of users experiencing issues with Microsoft Office services. Some of the affected services are OneDrive, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft Power BI Upgrade ( 02/18/2022)

The maintenance has been completed.

History:

The Power BI Premium environment will be upgraded to Power BI Premium Generation 2 from 10-11 p.m. on Friday, February 18.  This upgrade only affects reports for Power BI Premium users.  All other Power BI users will be unaffected by this upgrade.
